Brian Gibbons is the General Editor of the New Cambridge Shakespeare and Professor of English Literature at the University of Munster. His other works on Shakespeare include a book, "Shakespeare and Multiplicity," an edition of "Measure for Measure" for the New Cambridge Shakespeare, and an essay entitled "Doubles and Likenesses-with-difference: "The Comedy of Errors" and "The Winter's Tale."" He also served as General Editor for the New Mermaid Anthology of plays, and has written extensively on Elizabethan and Jacobean theater.
