As passionate lover of wildlife it is fitting that Chris Pendleton chose a barn owl as the subject of this four-colour reduction linocut. A much-loved countryside bird, the barn owl is widely distributed across the UK and would have been a regular sight during Pendleton's childhood wanderings in Warwickshire's woods and fields.
