She is the past Vice President of Scholastic Chess of the North Carolina Chess Association (NCCA). Jessica is also an academic tutor, editor of a hand-bound magazine, Plume Zine, and weekly author for www.chesskid.com. In 2008, she created Over the Chessboard, an organization teaching chess programs in schools.
